Is the LLB distance education program valid in India?

No, distance learning for LLB is not approved by the UGC and BCI in India. It requires students to attend regular classes and complete the coursework in person. Therefore, any student seeking to practice law in India must take up a regular LLB program. The Indian Bar Council does not recognize distance learning programs for LLBs.

Eligibility Criteria for LLB Program

A graduate degree in any field of education is required for admission to LLB Distance Education. To graduate with a bachelor’s degree, one must score at least 45% on their report cards. There will be a 5% relaxation in marks for students in the reserved category. Any student with a degree from a recognized university is eligible to apply.

For admission to the LLB Distance Education program, there are no national entrance exams like CLAT, AILET, or LSAT. There is usually a qualifying exam that graduates or post-graduates must pass in order to be admitted to a college. Here are some simple steps given below to complete the admission process.

  • Read all the necessary information before filling out the application form, and the required details Eligibility, ID Proof, Address Details, and Basic Details.
  • The payment for the application fee and entrance exam fee can be made through both online or offline modes.

  • Take a printout of the submitted Application form and fee receipt for future updates.
